Ethics for the lecturer, the goal of this code is to establish a clear framework. Within which University workers are expected to behave. The University aspires to establish a work environment for its employees. And a learning environment for its students in which personal behavior. Also, standards of conduct reflect honesty, integrity, and respect for fellow employees, students, and the University’s customers/clients.

Ethics for the lecturer Principles

  • The University is a vast, complicated organization, and its employees. Activities and behavior have an impact on thousands of people’s education and livelihood. As well as, on the local environment and community. Employees are expected to think about actions that affect the University. Their coworkers, consumers, the environment, and our community.
  • The University receives a significant amount of funding from the government. Commercial sector organizations, philanthropic and third-sector organizations, as well as students and their parents/guardians. Also, all of these parties must have confidence that the University follows the highest standards of financial. Conduct and strives to maintain the greatest levels of probity and ethical behavior. There are strict procedural and auditing procedures in place.

Promoting inclusion and appreciating diversity is one of the University’s basic values. Also, the University strives to create a supportive work environment for its workers. In which everyone respects each other. Staff and students will be supported and encouraged to perform to their full potential. Regardless of their age, (dis)ability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, ethnic background, culture, sexual orientation, religion or belief, sex, socio-economic status, or any other factor.


Bullying and harassment

Firstly, University is committed to ensuring everyone. Can work and participate in the life of the University. Without fear of harassment. secondly, bullying, or intimidation to create an atmosphere in which students and employees can grow and reach their full potential. Everyone at the university has a role to play in preventing. Harassment by ensuring that their actions, whether deliberate or not, do not constitute harassment. The University will take necessary measures regarding unacceptable behavior that demonstrates a lack of respect for others. And makes others feel threatened.

Safety and health

However, as mandated by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other related regulations. The University places a high focus on maintaining a safe working and learning environment. And will take proactive measures to reduce the incidence of any workplace risks. As well, as students, visitors, and members of the general public. Our goal is to achieve excellence in health and safety by continual improvement of standards. Further, the full application of risk assessments to eliminate the causes of accidents, incidents, and illness. This, along with more specific goals and objectives, demonstrates the University’s commitment to employee well-being.

Relationships with other members of the University’s employees, students, and other clients and customers

Firstly, Personal lives unless they have an impact on the university’s ability to operate effectively or its reputation.

Employees who are relatives or have a close personal relationship should not have a supervisory. Moreover, evaluating, or authorizing relationships with one another.

Secondly, employees must notify their line manager if they have a close personal relationship with another employee. A student, or a client or customer of the University. How they conduct themselves at work by colleagues, students, or others.
